The usual health problems of Pembroke Welsh Corgis are Progressive Renal Atrophy (PRA), glaucoma, back disorders, early arthritis, osteoarthritis, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), hip dysplasia, retinal folds, persistent pupilarily membranes, cataracts, cancer and autoimmune system problems, uterine inertia and sterility in males. Overfeeding and under-exercising are conditions that would lead Corgis to have back problems or arthritis and eventually shorten their lives.
