First of all, I am talking about the Canadian Kennel Club, not the Continental Kennel Club.
What are some breeds that one registry will accept but the other will not?
Are there any differences in the breed standard of certain breeds?
How are the conformation shows different?
Any other details you’d like to add!

The CKC has recognized the Karelian Bear Dog for years; here, it is still in the AKC’s FSS.
I’m sure there are more, but that’s the breed I pay attention to. :)
CKC conformation shows, in my experience, are a little more laid back, a little friendlier. When I was in the group ring at a show in Canada, and had forgotten my dog’s comb, one of the professional handlers in the ring, who didn’t even know me, offered me theirs. Pretty sure that would never happen around here!
CKC championships require 10 points; AKC championships require 15. I think CKC championships now also require 1 major (3+ points taken in a single win); AKC requires 2 majors.
One other thing I noticed – in the CKC Hound group, the Dachshunds are divided into 3 separate coats *and* 2 sizes, which means that up to 6 Dachshunds can show in the group ring. In the AKC Hound group, both sizes (Standard, Mini) are included under each coat type, so we only have 3 Dachshunds in the group ring.
