My brother bought 2 male pups — bernese mountain dog (9 weeks old) and saint bernard (10 weeks old). Is that a good combination? What can we expect as they grow older?

Never buy two puppies at once!! They will bond to each other instead of bonding to you. As a result, it will make any house training or other training extremely difficult. Most people end up rehoming one because of this. Also, if you don’t get them neutered before the hormones hit at about six months of age, they can get into some pretty serious fights, resulting in a LOT of blood very quickly.
Giant breeds like the Saint are for experienced handlers only. That will be a 100lb+ dog and will need to be super trained to be trustworthy. Both of those breeds are very short lived, so they’ll last maybe six years and then age very quickly due to their size. They can cause a lot of damage in that short time, though.
Good luck with your pups!
