I’ve done my research on both through wiki and dogbreedinfo but they seem to be pretty similar..
what distinguishes them from each other besides their name?

There are 5 white breeds in Europe, all recognized by FCI. Kuvasz, Ungarian)Maremman(Italian), Podhalanski (Poland) Great Pyr (France and the Slovensky Cuvac (Slovakia).
Different between a GP and a SC = size…, the SC is the smallest of these 5 breeds. female 65cm, male 70cm. A difference in bones, head, fur is also well known. A GP have to have draw clews at the hind legs, forbidden by SC. The SC has teeth=sissor, and and and. Go to www.fci.be and call up both standards and you can read all the differences.
Size-weight- body build etc.
